NICHOLAS  KUPIAK

Nicholas Kupiak is a cinematographer and photographer based on the unceded territory of the Skwxwú7mesh nation in Squamish, BC, working with local and global brands in outdoor industries.

Nicholas’ unique style of imagery has been honed through years of chasing athletes and friends around the wilds of Vancouver Island, scouting unique urban settings in the Lower Mainland, and accessing rugged spaces across the province to catch unforgettable moments on film. He firmly believes that sometimes you need to live it in order to understand how to share it, and he leans into a run & gun style of shooting to make sure no moments are missed when you're faced with scenarios that tend to allow few chances to get the shot.

Being mostly hired as a solo creator, he's been able to expand his skillset to include directing, sound design, motion graphics, colouring, and more, proving his ability to be an agile collaborator whenever a project allows.
